  • 💜 This is beautiful. I always feel that I have to be extraordinary. I also feel no matter how much I grow i'm still not good or great enough. I now realize that as long as I do what brings me joy and continue to be a person of character I am ok. Ordinary is Also beautiful and joyous. I loved Don't Amor up❤

  • Hah I knew it! I always preach the same thing to people about honest expression and not blocking out feelings just because they're negative feelings. And people always said it was weakness to be vulnerable. Bullshit! It takes massive balls to open your heart out to everyone and be honest. It's the opposite of weakness. Nice to have some evidence from a best seller now, hah!

  • First of all, HI Evan!! Your approach to empowering others is brilliant! I swear I'm learning so much! I really love Brene Brown. I was introduced to her talks last year. I took away a quote of hers that is going to forever stick with me. "Vulnerability is the willingness to show up and be seen even when there are no guarantees." I am in a state where I feel like vulnerable is where I NEED to be. I feel it beckoning me. I feel misunderstood anyway. I'm that person that encourages and motivates my enemies and people look at me like I have 2 heads, but I sincerely want people to be OK and succeed and be the best versions of themselves that they can be and if that entails me bring vulnerable and showing my imperfections, I'm not sure I care. I want to grow. I just feel extremely empowered. I feel like I was all over the place, but I don't care. I love the mental state that I'm in right now

  • Two thumbs up! I've really been thinking lately about the vulnerability/connection thing, and I love how Brene breaks it down. When she gave the sign for vulnerability, I teared up and had to pause the video to absorb what she'd said. She has a wonderful blend of intelligence, passion and humor. Thank you for this, Evan and Brene.

  • I buy a lot of this but not the "fear of not being worthy" thing. It seems to me, if you exhibit the right behavior to appear you believe that, then it works out well, but if your behavior looks different then that group's norm, you can believe it as much as you want, but others will think you believe something else.
