  • Whats "haunting" me and makes it more difficult for me to progress is the fact that I always need people to pay attention to myself, and when they dont I feel really hurt (which is most of the times) but Im working on it.

  • The things that haunt me are the moments that I failed have foresight, and disappointed not only myself, but those that I care about, and that care about me. "Per defectum, perfectum" is now my motto. I may be disappointed, and I may disappoint others, but it is these failures that will carry me to the completion, or "perfectum" I seek. Even now though, it's a constant battle to push myself past the fear of yet another disappointment, even though I have changed my perspective. Change takes time, and that includes the adaptation of a new lifestyle. Great video once again, Evan! Keep it up, and I'll see you again tomorrow morning. 🙂

  • I am haunted by the fact that I did not take advantage of the talents I was given and did not practice and perfect them when I had the chance in my youth. I am 46 years old not and just starting the scratch the surface of my potential…I have time…but the regret of not seeing the importance of taking advantage of every opportunity will be something I will have to live with…thanks for the message and the opportunity to release. #BTA8 #moveyournumbertoday #service.

  • What if your goal, Mr. or Ms. ENTREPRENEUR, is to start a business? What steps would you take to start your business? The first step is: What is your company’s message? The more difficult you make your message, the more difficult it is to spread, the more difficult it is for people to talk about you, and the harder it is going to be to remember. Most companies have a list of core values, 10-15 of them. You can bet that nobody in the company, the CEO included, can recite all of those values. They may know a few of them but not all of them. So…how are you able to make important decisions about moving forward when you don’t remember what you stand for? Simplify it. If you have one thing to remember, you’re probably going to remember it. It makes it easier to live a purpose driven life, a MISSION MINDED life. If you are trying to remember 5 or 6 things, chances are that you’re not going to remember any of them. If you have one thing in your head, if you say that this is what I’m about, it is easier to keep your focus on the desired outcome. And, if you are about one thing, it is easier for people to talk about you. They don’t have to remember 5 things. They remember your one main thing and can pass the word on about you. It is not on them to remember, it is on you to have a better message. Give them one message, make it impactful, make it meaningful, they’re going to remember it and they are going to spread it. When you have one mission it gives you the motivation to keep going. You create an environment with purpose. You create a routine with purpose. It’s not easy, it’s a process. Having that goal is motivating. If you have clear direction over your path, when you have a roadblock, you still have the LENS through which you see the world. Having that clarity, not only helps you do something, TAKE ACTION, it keeps you motivated because it comes from a place deep inside you. It’s the difference between desire and PASSION. Be a beacon of light. Believe that you can create a powerful message. Get it out there to inspire people. The way you do that is to “storytell”, in micro-content, consistently. You become the head cheerleader. The COACH. How many companies have you come across that are always preaching about their service? “Service is important to us.” And then you call them and have a terrible service experience. Why? Because it is just lip service. They are saying things for just a marketing perspective but not actually BELIEVING it. There is no commitment. . If your message is something, as a company, that you really believe in, that’s when it becomes AUTHENTIC. If you believe in one thing, and you’re saying something else, that thing that you are promoting for your business, if that doesn’t come from a place where your people actually believe it (inside), you’re not going to fulfill it. So, if you tell me you are about service, you will attract people based on that. You will attract people based on service. If you don’t deliver on that, then you have failed them. They are not going to talk about you positively and you are bringing in the wrong clientele. You are not going to have success. You must spread the one message for your business so that your team feels it and your customers feel it. This makes it easy for people to act in accordance to what we say that we’re about. This only happens when the leader can AUTHENTICALLY feel it. If it’s not something that YOU feel, people will see through it. Everyone has an acute B.S. meter. The last four letters of the word ENTHUSIASM stand for I AM SOLD MYSELF. Enthusiasm is contagious. Unfortunately, apathy and complacency are, too. Be MISSION MINDED. To be clear, your company will do more than one thing but the key element is the company’s IDENTITY. For example, when somebody says “McDonald’s,” you think hamburgers. They have many other products. When somebody says “Disney,” you think about wholesome children’s movies. They have many other products. When somebody says “Apple,” you think of innovative computer related products. They have many other products. You are not limited to one product but you are IDENTIFIED with one. Another element that reinforces a company’s IDENTITY is the right logo. As an example, if I were to make PROJECT ELI (a series of personal development “blueprints” that I have written for my son, Eli) into my own company, I might have a large light bulb as my logo. Across the top it would say: Project Eli: Educate / Lead / Inspire. Underneath the bulb, it would say: RAISE THE BAR CHANGE YOUR MIND OPEN A “TAKE CHARGE” ACCOUNT Would my message be clear? It is also a good idea to have an identity and an ENEMY (or what the enemy stands for). Have a villain and INSPIRE people to take action. In the example of Project Eli, the “enemy” would be the individual that coasts through life without a clear path. A coaster should be something you place on a table to prevent a stain. It should not be a “lifestyle.” In Project Eli, the ENEMY is the COASTER. Build a TRIBE. Get unreasonable: You loving the things that you are doing and your customers loving the things that you are doing. Make it PERSONAL. An IDENTITY is personal. It is the difference between customers and fans. Customers shop for price and convenience. Fans will go out of their way to talk about you and patronize your goods and/or services LOYALLY. By far, the most important piece of this puzzle is creating the right MINDSET. The clear and present danger concerning mindsets is when the leader’s mindset is a fixed mindset. Fixed -mindset leaders, like fixed mindset people in general, live in a world where some people are superior and some are inferior. They must repeatedly affirm that they are superior, and the company is simply a platform for this. When bosses become controlling and abusive, they put everyone into a fixed mindset. This means that instead of learning, growing, and moving the company forward, everyone starts worrying about being JUDGED. The leader CREATES A CULTURE OF FINGER POINTING. It’s hard for courage and innovation to survive a companywide fixed mindset. Growth minded leaders start with a belief in human potential and development—both their own and other peoples. Instead of using the company as a vehicle for their own greatness, they use it as an engine of growth—for themselves, the employees, and the company as a whole. True self confidence is the courage to be open—to welcome change and new ideas regardless of their source. Real self-confidence is not reflected in a title, an expensive suit, or a fancy car. It is reflected in your mindset: your readiness to grow.

  • When you've lived your entire life cynical and anxious it's such a rewiring of the brain to try thinking positively about the present and the future. I've been actively trying to do this for a year now, and I'm seeing improvements, but there's a lot of conscious work that I have to put in to prevent myself from falling back into shitty thought habits. The logline though is that I'm much happier and feel myself getting closer to what I want. Happy Monday ya'll, go get it.

  • I #BELIEVE everything from my past led me to here and i'm happy where I am in my life and career. So I totally agree with you on that. And I watch another one of your videos and read a meme about setting goals and then try to start on them asap to get a head start and some momentum. So I'm working on sending a 100 copies of my album to send to my dad in NYC to get my music heard and gain fans. I want to give it away for free and I feel that's the best way to go for promoting with physical copies. Also I set a goal with my 3 friends to record music for a year and tour over seas as a nice life experience. You always keep me driven and I love your worth ethic, you've got to be one of the most hardest working guy in the world! I try to work alot and perfect my craft but I could never keep up with you. You'd run circles around me lol. But this life is so #INCREDIBLE, and i'm glad i'm no longer depressed not working on creativity. Its essential to my happiness! God Bless.
